A slightly different slant on some of the pictures in this, our October newsletter.......

Everything is not always as it first appears to be!

 Obviously, because we are extremely privelaged to live here in the bush on a full-time basis, certain things like trees around the waterhole become very familiar to us, and we kind of expect to see them every day. The African bush is however a continually changing landscape - nothing is constant, be it because of the changing seasons perhaps, or because of some other influence.

October 2014 - Ranger's Letter

Brrrrr.... Freezing, is the only way to start our newsletter from us Rangers. Winter has been cold, dry and at times we all felt like Frosty the Snowman. Morning drives armed with hot-water bottles, blankets, extra blankets and ponchos! And yet, despite the chill factor, we were comfortable and had stunning sightings galore. With the bush losing its green summer glow, seeing the animals has become that much easier and the best heating is that of excitement, thrill and adrenaline...
